As of April 18, 2021, there have been 1,025,900 deaths across Europe due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) since the first recorded European death on February 15, 2020. The number of deaths first started to increase significantly during March, and again in November. The week ending January 24, 2021, was the deadliest week so far with 39,960 deaths recorded. The UK currently has the highest amount of deaths of any country in Europe at 127,270.
